Welcome to UNDP Action for Cooperation & Trust in Cyprus

Since its launch in October 2005 the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) peacebuilding project in Cyprus, Action for Cooperation and Trust (ACT) entered its second phase in 2008. The programme aims principally to strengthen the capacities of Cypriots to actively participate in the reconciliation process. ACT is funded through a cooperative agreement between USAID and UNDP.
ACT Overview
ACT aims to engage people from both communities to work together on common issues and participate in a variety of peacebuilding initiatives across the divide. Our partners include business leaders, media and technical professionals, civil society activists, youth leaders, researchers and opinion leaders from both communities.

Areas of Work
ACT partners with civil society actors from across the island. Our areas of work are: strengthening civil society to contribute to the peace process; creating opportunities for Cypriots to promote social and policy change on issues of common concern; and promoting cooperation and common understanding between the island's communities.
