YOUTH CAMPS 2006
Following the success of last year's 11 youth camps implemented under
the Bi-communal Development Programme, ACT is launching new
opportunities over the next two years for young Cypriots from across the
island to meet together and build new bridges for a common future.
The
summer camps promise to provide a unique and unforgettable time for all.
They will feature a fun experience for youth from across the island with
emphasis on the particular interests of the participants, such as
sports, environmental awareness, arts, science and cultural heritage. By
participating in several activities such as excursions, nature walks,
sightseeing visits, language lessons, sports and educational activities,
participants will be able to build new friendships based on their shared
interests.
The main objective of these summer camps and their
follow-up activities is to give participants the opportunities to learn
how to communicate, play, live and learn together in order to foster
long-lasting relationships built on common interests, friendship,
cooperation, mutual understanding and trust.
